The Champion Beer in the "Beer of the Festival" competition at the 30th Norwich Beer Festival was Beeston Worth The Wait (4.2%). Like last year's winner, it is brewed by one of Norfolk's newer small breweries, based at Beeston, near Dereham.
Second place went to Tipples Black Moth (from Acle) and third was Blackfriars Whyte Angel (from Great Yarmouth).
Mild — 1 Sarah Hughes Dark Ruby (6.0%); 2 Tipples Hanged Monk (3.8%); 3 Wolf Woild Moild (4.8%).
Bitter — 1 Blackfriars Yarmouth Bitter (3.8%); 2 Grain Oak (3.8%); 3= Adnams Bitter (3.7%); 3= Woodfordes Wherry (3.8%).
Best Bitter — 1 Beeston Worth The Wait (4.2%); 2 Blackfriars Whyte Angel (4.5%); 3 Caledonian Trick Or Treat (4.5%).
Strong Bitter — 1 Green Jack Ripper (8.5%); 2 Thornbridge Jaipur IPA (5.9%); 3 Grain Tamarind IPA (5.5%).
Golden — 1 Castle Rock Harvest Pale (3.8%); 2 Green Jack Canary (3.8%); 3 Winters Golden (4.1%).
Olds, Stouts and Porters — 1 Tipples Black Moth (8.0%); 2 Cairngorm Black Gold (4.4%); 3 Timothy Taylor Ram Tam (4.3%).
